Description
The Beretta 92SB pistol was initially designated the Beretta 92S-1. This pistol was designed specifically for the United States Air Force (USAF) trials, which is won. The name '92SB' comes from the fact it's the same overall design as other model 92 pistols Beretta has made, the S is for the changes that the Beretta 92S made, and the B is for the new firing pin block. There is also a compact version of the 92SB that was made between 1981 and 1991. The Beretta 92SB was going to be issued to USAF forces as a standard issue sidearm, but was cancelled in favor for the already in use, the M9. The 92SB was issued to a small selection of US F.B.I. units.

The Beretta 92SB Compact was made between 1981 and 1991. It featured a shorter barrel and slide. It also had a 13 round magazine.
